what we delivered.

the problem

Keystone delivers accurate, transparent audit and assurance — but in a regulated category, perception is the gate before the credentials are even read.

Audit is a category where the buyer often cannot evaluate the product at all. Two firms present the same qualifications, the same standards and the same assurances, and the client is left choosing on signals — how quickly they understood what was on offer, how ordered the firm appeared, whether anything felt casual. In a regulated market, casual is disqualifying.

strategy

Anchor Keystone in authority and clarity. A precise, calm brand and a site that lets prospective clients self-qualify quickly across the firm’s service lines.

Authority here comes from precision rather than gravitas. The aim was a brand that behaves the way a good audit reads — calm, structured, nothing asserted that is not supported — and a website that lets a prospective client work out for themselves whether Keystone is the right fit before anyone picks up the phone.

execution

Brand identity, a structured services website with clear engagement journeys, compliance-focused content, and sales collateral that compresses the firm’s expertise into a single read.

The site was organised around service lines with clear engagement journeys, so a finance director can self-qualify quickly rather than submitting an enquiry to find out. Compliance content addresses the regulatory questions clients arrive with, and the sales collateral compresses the firm's expertise into a document that can be read in one sitting and forwarded without explanation.

creative process

We treated hierarchy as the design problem. In a category where the content is dense and largely mandated, the value a designer adds is in ordering — what is read first, what can be skipped, what must never be ambiguous. Typography carries almost all of the brand expression, the palette stays deliberately narrow, and every document was structured so the reader always knows where they are.

result

An audit firm that reads as authoritative on first glance and converts the right kind of enquiry. Three new audit contracts followed the rebrand.

lessons

When a client cannot judge the work, they judge the order. In regulated categories, structure is not presentation — it is the argument that the firm will be equally rigorous with the engagement.
